Your smile preview: privacy notice

Smileproof (ClinicEdge Studio LLC) provides this preview tool for the dental clinic whose page you opened. The clinic is responsible for your details. Smileproof handles them on the clinic's behalf.

Your photo

• Your photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our secure processing servers. They prepare it, cropping it to your mouth where possible, and pass it to our cloud AI provider to create your preview and run automated quality checks.
• Smileproof never stores your photo.
• The AI provider may hold the image it receives in a temporary cache for up to 24 hours. If its automated safety checks flag a request, it may keep it for up to 90 days, only to check for misuse, and then deletes it. It never uses it to train AI models.

Your preview

• Your preview is encrypted with a key that only your browser holds, and carries a watermark showing it is a simulation.
• It is deleted from our servers as soon as your browser confirms it arrived. If it never arrives, it is deleted in the next daily clean-up, and until then no one can open it without the key in your browser.

Your contact details

• If you send your name, email and phone, they go to the clinic so it can contact you and arrange a consultation.
• We keep them securely for the clinic, with the time of your consent and the network address it came from, as the record of your consent.
• We never sell your details or use them for advertising.

In your browser

• The tool saves your language choice and a random device number in your browser.
• While your preview is being made, this browser tab also keeps its job number and a one-time key, so the preview still reaches you if the page reloads. Both are cleared as soon as the preview arrives or the tab closes. Your photo is never kept.
• To prevent misuse, we count previews per device and network address, and delete those counts after 7 days.

• The preview is an AI illustration, not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a guarantee of results. Only your dentist can advise you on treatment.
• You must be 18 or older to use it.
